UniAbujath has alerted the hospital community public about the outbreak Marburg virus and covid-19.

Naijanewshub.com.ng gathered that the management of the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, Gwagwalada, has notified the hospital community of an outbreak of Marburg virus disease and the upsurge in COVID 19 infection.

A memo signed by Sani M. Suleiman Deputy Director (Info) on behalf of the institution’s Chief Medical Director (CMD) dated August 12, 2022, on the development, instructed all Heads of Departments and members of staff to ensure adequate surveillance  and hygiene.

The memo titled ‘Outbreak Of Marburg Disease and Covid-19 Virus Infection’, also urged everyone to observe all protocols for disease prevention.

It said: “Please circularize for more information as prevention is better than cure. More details will be sent on our various social media platforms on the outbreak in due course.”
