Akinyele Leaders Wellness Tour Kicks Off November 1st To Promote Healthy Leadership, Community Development

IBADAN – A major health initiative aimed at promoting wellness among political, traditional, and community leaders in Akinyele Local Government Area will officially begin on November 1, 2025.
The programme, tagged “Akinyele Leaders Wellness Tour,” is organised by Dr. Hafeez Amuda popularly known as Kingsway, through the Kingsway Health and Outreach Foundation. It is designed to provide free medical screenings, consultations, and health education for leaders who play critical roles in the governance and development of their communities.
According to Dr. Amuda, the initiative seeks to underscore the link between sound health and effective leadership.
“Healthy leadership is the heartbeat of community development. When those who lead are in good health, the people prosper,” he said.
The wellness tour will feature comprehensive health checks, preventive screenings, and personalised consultations tailored to the needs of participants. Beneficiaries will also receive medication support and guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle to prevent long-term ailments.
Dr. Amuda, who is a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the Oyo State House of Assembly, Akinyele Constituency I (2027), described the initiative as a proactive investment in the wellbeing of those entrusted with leadership responsibilities.
“Leadership is service, and good service begins with good health. This tour is our way of giving back to those who dedicate their time and energy to uplifting the community,” he added.
Through his foundation, Dr. Amuda has consistently supported humanitarian causes across Oyo State, focusing on healthcare access, youth empowerment, and social development.
The Akinyele Leaders Wellness Tour is expected to draw participation from traditional rulers, religious leaders, political office holders, and community influencers, reinforcing the message that a healthy leader builds a healthy Akinyele.
