Oyo NUJ Congratulates Shina Peller At 50

IBADAN —- THE Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Council, has congratulated the Ayedero of Yorubaland, Chief Shina Peller, on the occasion of his 50th birthday anniversary, describing him as a distinguished philanthropist and compassionate leader whose contributions to humanity continue to impact lives positively across the country.
In a statement jointly signed by the Chairman of the Council, Mr. Akeem Abas, and the Secretary, Temidayo Adu, the union lauded Chief Peller for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people through numerous empowerment initiatives and community development programmes aimed at reducing poverty and improving livelihoods.
The union noted that Chief Peller has consistently demonstrated uncommon generosity and dedication to the upliftment of the less privileged, stressing that many individuals and families have benefitted immensely from his interventions in education, entrepreneurship, youth development and social support schemes.
According to the statement, the former lawmaker distinguished himself through quality representation during his time in public office, where he facilitated impactful projects and programmes that directly touched the lives of his constituents and beyond.
The council further described the celebrant as a bridge-builder and a leader who has continued to inspire hope among young people through his business acumen, leadership style and sustained investment in human capital development.
The NUJ equally acknowledged Chief Peller’s enduring relationship with the council, noting that he has remained a dependable benefactor who consistently supports the programmes and activities of the union in Oyo State.
The statement added that his support for journalism and media development has strengthened the bond between him and journalists, while also reflecting his appreciation for the role of the press in nation building and democratic growth.
The council prayed Almighty God to grant Chief Shina Peller more fruitful years in good health, wisdom and prosperity, so that he can continue his humanitarian services and impactful contributions to the development of Yorubaland and Nigeria at large.
