Fadeyi Emerges Chairman Of NBA Ibadan Young Lawyers Forum

IBADAN —- MEMBERS of the Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ibadan Branch, on Friday elected a new set of executive officers to steer the affairs of the forum for the next two years.
At the election held at the Bar Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan, Oluwatomiwa James Fadeyi emerged as Chairman after polling 34 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Awere Bolanle Ajoke, who secured 12 votes.
Fadeyi, who previously served as President of the Adeleke University Students’ Association during his undergraduate years, is currently the Head of Chambers at Adebayo and Gbadamosi Chambers.
Other officers elected into the executive committee include Taiwo Oladipupo as Vice Chairman, Kayode Kareem as Secretary, Nifemi Bamisaye as Assistant Secretary, and Aminat Amoo as Financial Secretary/Treasurer.
Also elected were Bukola Onyewenu as Social Secretary and Damilola Israel Olujimi as Publicity Secretary.
In a statement announcing the outcome of the election, the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Kehinde Sennuga, and the Committee Secretary, Basit Oluwatimileyin Busari, confirmed that the newly elected officers assumed office with immediate effect.
The new executive is expected to provide leadership and advance the interests and professional development of young lawyers within the Ibadan Branch of the association over the next two years.
