#NigerianDecide: Impressive Turn Out Of Voters At Iregba, Iresa-Adu, Ogbomoso •••As Wolekanle, Olamiju, Oyedokun Timothy, Adegbite Isaiah, Others Okay BVAS

There are massive turn out of electorates at Ogbomoso.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that there was a massive turn out of electorates at some polling units visited so far in Ogbomoso, and  Surulere Local Government Area of Oyo state.

Naijanewshub.com.ng further reports that the polling units visited so far are Iregba Baptist Secondary School Market area, Iregba ward 06; Unit 006 Primary School 2 and Iresa-Adu Town Hall ward 5: Unit 6 and 7 all in Surulere Local government area of Ogbomoso axis of Oyo state.

Other units visited are Ibapon Ode Baale Ward 4; unit 5 and 6, Ogbomoso High School Ward 2, Unit 24, Osupa Day Baptist School Ogbomoso, ward 9; Unit 5 and 6.

The election is going on peacefully in some areas visited so far, as the BVAS machines are working perfectly, while the electorates are voting immediately after the accreditation exercise.

In Ogbomoso South Local Government, Ward 2, Unit 24, Ogbomoso High School, the executive chairman of the local government, Hon. Oyedokun Timothy expressed his satisfaction about the level of turn out at the polling unit.

He said, “the elections is going on well, the accreditations with the BVAS Machines is fantastic, we don’t have to go back home and come back for voting, we are voting immediately after the accreditation exercise and it’s great, and we hope that it’s not tampered with, our votes we’ve casted can actually count with this BVAS technology.”

“To some extent the INEC is going to give us credible elections, I’m optimistic that INEC is going to give us credible elections at least I’m so sure of 85% in my opinion.”

“The level of turn out is quite impressive, normally we don’t used to have polling units here, but despite that people are still turning out, this is just few minutes after ten and we still have more than 5 to 6 hours to go, so people are coming out to exercise their civic rights.” He said.

Also in his address, the executive chairman of Surulere Local government, Hon. Adegbite Isaiah commended the electorates for coming out so early to exercise their franchise.

He said, “the voting exercise la going on peacefully in Iregba Ward 06; Unit 006, and I’m so impressive with the level of turn out of our people.

“Election materials arrived so earlier, and the BVAS machines are working so perfectly, I’m so impressed with what have seen so far.” He said.

At Osupa Day Baptist School Ogbomoso, ward 9; Unit 5 and 6,  one of the electorates that spoken with journalists, Mr. Christopher Ayaniyi Ayantoye said the turn out is impressive.

He said, “people have are here  casting their votes peacefully, the BVAS machines are working perfectly and people are voting without no problem, people have been here as early as 7 am and the process is quite commendable, there is a special treatment for the elderly people and people living with disabilities, I really commend the party agents as they considered the aged people and the disabled, and the process so far so good is going on smoothly.”

“When the accreditation was about to commence, there was little technical issue and it was rectify within ten minutes and I believe this is a new trend in our democracy and it’s a welcome development. So the whole process is commendable.” Christopher said.

Hon. Akinwale Akinwole popularly known as Wolekanle, the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Oyo North Senatorial District who also voted in Osupa Baptist Secondary School Ogbomoso, commend the early arrival of the INEC officials and the voting materials at the polling unit.

He said, “this election has been peaceful process, especially here in units 5 that have voted, though the level of turn out compared to previous elections is not that impressive because people are not happy with the current situation of things in the country, people are hungry, there is no cash in circulation so people cannot buy food, but the elections is going on smoothly as we can see, the accreditations process with the BVAS machines is okay.”

Olamujiwonlo, Ayodeji Akala, here in Ogbomoso Ward 10 Sabo Tara Paki Otan Gbangudu, Unit 005 where I just casted my vote, the whole election process is going on smoothly, the BIVAS machines are doing well in terms of accreditation of the electorates.
“Despite the fact that we are in economy crunch, people still come out to cast their votes, the level of turn out is very impressive, the BVAS machine is good work in progress, it was seamless and very easy to use, there have no been rancour since we’ve started, every cards are working perfectly.” He said.
