Former military Presidents ,General Ibrahim Babangida, Abdulsalami Abubakar and former President Goodlucik Jonathan are among dignitaries expected to grace the N 100m fund raising and launch of a book written by the Secretary General of a Yoruba socio-cultural group, Council of Yoruba Elders (CYE) Dr Victor Taiwo on Thursday in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Other important personalities expected at the occasion are the Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, his Niger State counterpart,Rt. Hon. Mohammed Bago, former governor of Oyo state, Senator Rashidi Ladoja and Ibadan based business mogul and philanthropist, Dotun Sanusi among others.

Briefing newsmen ahead of the the event, Dr Victor Taiwo, a prolific writer and a world-class author of 19 several books of global reckoning , maintained that the fund raising cum book launch event became imperative to raise funds for the activities of the group in order to leave a lasting legacy for Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole.
His words:”what should really matter to wise people in this world is not the power they wield, the personal aggrandizement they exude and limitless riches they enjoy but the good legacy they leave behind after death which will always speak for them decades or centuries after they have gone and which will form a base of pride for their children and generation yet unborn.”
While giving a detailed analysis of the event scheduled to hold at the House of Chiefs, Parliament Buildings, Oyo state Secretariat, Agodi Ibadan, Dr Victor Taiwo, who also doubles as the convener and National Chiarman of New Nigeria Movement (NNM), a political party that comprises eminent personalities from across the six geo-political zones of Nigeria ,stressed that his agenda through the aforementioned bodies is the unprecedented practical, effective, veritable restructuring of Nigeria which will be to the benefit of all parts of the country and also to redesign the destiny of Nigeria as a nation for a new developmental phenomenon via Independent National Conference whose evolution is on a supersonic speed.
He said, “while building a good legacy why really matter to wise people is not the power they wield, the person aggrandizement they exude and the limitless riches they enjoy but the good legacy they leave behind after their death which will always speak for them decades and centuries after they have leave this ephemeral world d which will form the base of pride for their children and generation yet unborn.”
“Today, the only reference point for best governance among our various leaders in Nigeria remains late Sage Chief Obafemi Awolowo and no other person, as a Nigerian we are don’t have fulfillment in what has transpired so far in this country that lead to our present situation we all find ourselves. To this effect, I pray we all create a niche for ourselves as a strong factor in the evolution of Nigeria to an egalitarian society where everybody will become happy across the whole national hemisphere by supporting the restructuring agenda which we are working assiduously to achieve.”
“We have brought this agenda to your doorsteps as a patriotic Nigerians and we seek for your support, and I’m set to execute this agenda with all the genius God has endowed me with, and that’s is why I’m reaching out to Nigerians so we can all join hands to move our dear country forward for the sake of our unborn generations.”
“The thrust of this communication centered on the leadership challenge we have now, it would be observed that the challenges of leadership could be very daunting most especially as it borders on financial responsibilities, in order to enhance my leadership financial power without playing a nuisance going cap in hands to the unwilling people, I resolve to stake some of my intellectual property which are my three books for launch towards raising N100million for this agenda.”
“According to the great mind, Dr. Tai Solarin, who once said and I quote that “we don’t need a multitude to change the world, all we require is a single valiant who will take a giant stride, and others will follow.”
“Essentially, only one person may be required to ignite the engine to turn the world around, that agent of change I am convinced I most humbly represent.” Dr Taiwo said.
Three books are to be launched at the occasion namely ; “Nigeria On Gunpowder; The Climax of Misrule,” “Treatise of Peace In A Multi Religious State and “African Time: Black Man’s Tragedy.”
Other dignitaries expected are , the Hon Justice Professor Mojeed Adekunle Owoade JCA (Rtd.) while the father of the day and Chief Host of the event is the Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Alhaji Dauda Makanjuola Akinola.
Royal Fathers of the day include, The Olowu of Owu Kingdom His Royal Majesty Oba Saka Ademola Matemilola; His Royal Majesty, Oba Michael Odunayo Ajayi Arowotawaya II, the Elerinmo of Erinmo-Ijesha, while the Spiritual Fathers of day are Apostle S.M.O. Mustapha (Baba Sebioba) the General overseer of Seed of Christ Golden Church, Professor K.K Olosho, Chief Ifayemi Elebuibon (the Araba Agbaye); Mothers of the day is Dr. Victoria Samson, the Managing Director of BOVAS and Company.
