•••As Shafaudeen Group of Schools hold 19th annual Inter-house sports competition

 

 

The Founder, spiritual head and grand Imam of Shafaudeen on Islam Worldwide,  Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP has admonished parents ensure proper upbringing of their children warning that bad parenting could lead a child to early grave.

He gave the admonition on Saturday during the 19th annual Inter-house sports competition of Shafaudeen Group of Schools and official opening of Ishrat 2024 programme of the organization held at the playing ground of Christ Church Primary School, Wakajaye, Ibadan.

Olagoke, who is the proprietor of the schools cited an instance of the death of pop singer, Mohbad who died at the age of 27 as failure of good parenting urging parents to monitor closely activities of their children in schools and the friends they keep among others.

Speaking on the topic, “Good Parenting: An Antidote To Wasted Generation Syndrome” the Islamic cleric urged parents to always counsel their children and to develop the leadership potential in them to discover the needed skills for their future development.”

“Is your child in danger because you are too indulgent? When you spoil your child you send him or her to early grave  When you don’t discipline , you are preparing for a monumental shocker.”

“Ensure you rear your children alright from their cradle to the point of marriage through good educational profile and professional engagement support. Never indulge your children because we have to.”He said.

The event witnessed match past, track and field events and presentation of gifts, prizes and certificates to winners in the various categories of the competition.

Meanwhile, Blue House (Olagoke House) was the winner of this year’s edition of Shafaudeen Group of Schools Annual Inter-House Sports Competition after securing 110 points.

Green House (Shafaudeen House) and Purple House (Grand Amirah House) emerged second and third with 88 and 80 points respectfully. While White House (Rasool House) came fourth with 62 points.

Our of the 28 invited schools both primary and secondary sections, as well as 11 voluntary organizations participated in the relay race and match past.
