Driver In Anthony Joshua Accident Case Arraigned

ABEOKUTA – THE Ogun State Police Command has arraigned the driver of the Lexus SUV involved in the tragic road accident involving world heavyweight boxing champion, Anthony Oluwafemi Joshua.
The accident also claimed the lives of two of Joshua’s associates and friends.
The driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, a 46-year-old, was arraigned before the Sagamu Magistrate Court on Friday.
According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi, the court adjourned the matter to 20 January 2026 for further proceedings.
The accident, which occurred last week along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State, involved a Lexus SUV driven by the defendant and resulted in the death of two friends of the boxing champion.
The defendant was accused of reckless driving and overspending by the officials of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC.
