Ishrat 2023: CCC Rehoboth FC Won 18th Edition Of Rasool Under-18 Football Competition, As Prof. Olagoke Links Sporting activities to Healthy Living

CCC Rehoboth FC has won Rasool Cup under-18 football competition.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that there was a wild jubilation on Thursday at the popular Wesley School of Science, Elekuro Ibadan venue of the final match of the 18th edition of Rasool Cup Under-18 Football Competition, when CCC Rehoboth FC lifted the trophy of the competition.

Rasool Cup Under-18 football competition is annual event and one of the programmes commemorating the annual Ishrat International Convention of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide.

No fewer than 24 football teams selected across all the local government areas of Ibadan participated in this year 2023 Rasool football competition, only four teams namely De Unique FC, Vital FC, Living Proof FC and CCC Rehoboth FC made it to the final stages. The duo of De Unique FC and Vital FC earlier that day had their third place encounter.

De Unique FC representing Ibadan North East Local Government Area won the third place of the to defeating Vital FC of Oluyole Local Government with 2 goals to 1, while CCC Rehoboth FC of Akinyele Local Government won the tournament by defeating the Living Proof FC of Ibadan North East with 3 goals to 2.

In his address at the event, the Founder, Spiritual Head and Grand Imam of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide, Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke linked physical activities with healthy living. He also called for regular sporting activities among youths and adults.

He further stressed that sporting activities within the regulated control of the trainers gives health and wealth to enhance the wellness status need of participants.

While speaking on sporting activities and wellness, Prof. Olagoke said, “sports or physical activities provides benefits such as assisting in weight loss or control, better blood circulation, stronger immunity, muscle training, stronger bones, stronger minds among others.”

Among other benefits of sporting and physical activities as highlighted by Prof. Sabit are, increase flexibility and movement and improves joint mobility, improves co-ordination, movement and balance, strengthens bones, muscle and joints, lower risk of developing joint problem such as arthritis, it help to stabilize blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels, as well help to maintain weight by reducing body fat.

At the end of the final match encounter between CCC Rehoboth FC and the Living Proof FC, Prof. Sabit Olagoke presented undisclosed huge sum of money to winner of the competition, while all the participants also went home with various gifts.

In his remarks, the chairman of the technical Committee of Oyo State Football Association, Mr. John Kayode commended Prof. Sabit Olagoke for organizing Rasool Cup Under-18 Football competition, stressing that the competition over the years has exposed some talents at the grassroot level to the world.
