JUST IN: Senate Begins Screening of New Ministers

ABUJA – The Senate has begun the screening of would-be ministers submitted to it by the President, Bola Tinubu.

The exercise began with the screening of Dr Nentawe Yilwatda, from Plateau State.

Yilwatda, who was a nominee for the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, was also a former Commissioner with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Presiding over plenary, the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, sought the Chamber’s permission (in the absence of questions from Lawmakers) for the nominee to “take a bow and go.”

After which the nominee was excused from the chamber
