Dr Beta Edu Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation has disowned as fake, a bogus ‘child support scheme’ which claims that the federal government is to disbursing N50,000 to parents through the ministry.
The minister who disclaimed the scheme said the concept and the accompanying links are fake and did not emanate from the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
The dubious sponsors of the fake scheme have been inviting unsuspecting households to apply to become beneficiaries.
Rasheed Olanrewaju Zubair, in a statement clarified the Minister’s position pointing out that
all social intervention schemes of the ministry are well documented are in the public domain. He advised Nigerians
to ignore the link and it’s faceless sponsors to avoid being defrauded of their hard-earned money.
He said already to security agencies have been put on the alert to unmask the true identity of the unpatriotic elements behind the scam
