Nigeria Revenue Service Unveils New Logo As FIRS Transitions To NRS

ABUJA   –   THE Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) officially launched its institutional brand identity today, marking the transition from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and ushering in a new era for the country’s revenue administration.

The NRS began operations following the signing of the Nigeria Revenue Service Establishment Act 2025 by President Bola Tinubu in June 2025.

The unveiling ceremony, held in Abuja on Wednesday, featured the debut of the agency’s logo and other brand elements, described as a pivotal milestone in Nigeria’s revenue framework.NRS Executive Chairman Zacch Adedeji, speaking at the event, emphasized the logo’s symbolism.

“The unveiling of the NRS identity reflects a renewed commitment to a more unified, efficient, and service-oriented revenue system, one that is aligned with Nigeria’s economic transformation agenda and global best practices,” he stated, according to a release by his Special Adviser on Media, Dare Adekanmbi.

Adedeji further noted that the new identity signals continuity of purpose, bolstered institutional capacity, and a proactive stance in supporting taxpayers and national development.

“The Nigeria Revenue Service remains committed to transparency, partnership, and service excellence,” he added.

“This unveiling represents not an end, but the beginning of a strengthened relationship between the revenue authority and the Nigerian public—built on trust, clarity, and shared prosperity.

”The rebranding comes amid ongoing efforts to streamline tax collection and enhance revenue mobilization, critical for funding Nigeria’s infrastructure and economic reforms in sectors like energy and petroleum.
