Members of the Paliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) an affiliate of the Nigeria Labour Congress has blocked the entrance to the National Assembly.
Some of the workers who arrived early to monitor the compliance met the entrance and exit gates blocked with coastal buses.
The situation was not also different at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, as our reporter observed that intending passengers travelling by air can no longer gain access to the airport following a blockade by striking staff.
Recall that following failure to reach a compromise on a new minimum wage, the organised labour comprising the Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress embarked on a nationwide strike today. The development has already led to the shut down of the National Grid.
