Oyo Police Spokesperson, Adewale Osifeso, 201 Others Promoted

IBADAN – No fewer than two hundred and two (202) officers of the Oyo State Command Headquarters, Eleyele Ibadan were on Wednesday decorated with new ranks, which includes (4) Four Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) – Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), (26) Twenty-Six Superintendent of Police (SP) – Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP), (25) Twenty-five Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) – Superintendent of Police (SP) and (149) One hundred and forty -nine Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) –Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).
The decoration ceremony of the newly promoted officers was held at the Conference Hall of the Command Eleyele, amid pomp and pageantry, witnessed by dignitaries across all spheres of life.
The newly decorated (202) Two hundred and two Police Officers have distinguished themselves in all facets of the police profession.
In his remark during the decoration, the state Commissioner of Police, CP Sonubi Ayodele urged the promotees to ensure they live up to the responsibilities that comes with the new rank, reminding them that they now have greater responsibilities especially at a time where law enforcement constantly battles with perception management and evolving security challenges.

He further enjoined the Senior Officers to practice their Policing duties with utmost professionalism, integrity, dignity, courage, respect for the right of citizens and with the fear of God.
In the same Vein, in his highly emotional response on behalf of the promotees, ACP Ehindero appreciated His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Chairman Police Service Commission, DIG Hashimu Argungu (rtd) and the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, PhD, NPM, for considering them worthy and approving their promotion.
He equally thanked the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, CP Sonubi Ayodele, psc for his constant supervision, encouragement and motivation also adding that the best from the promoters was yet to come.
The decorated officers of the Command include; ACP Ehindero Lawrence, OC Special Equity Bureau, CSP Osifeso Adewale, Police Public Relations Officer, Oyo State, CSP Akinjo Olakunle, CSP Segun Ojo, CSP Emuze Samson.O, Commander Explosive Ordinance Disposal-Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Unit and CSP Sunday Omowole (AO Operations) amongst others.
