Oyo Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin Redeems Pledge To Another 100 Students At 4th Bursary Award

Oyo speaker, Rt. Honourable Adebo Ogundoyin has redeemed his bursary pledge to another 100 students.
Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that It was excitement galore as the 4th Oyo State Speaker Bursary Award Program was held inside the popular Eruwa Town hall in Ibarapa East Local Government.
At the program, another set of one hundred students of Eruwa and Lanlate descent who are attending higher institutions of learning across the country received bursary courtesy of the Speaker, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin.
This was in furtherance of the Speaker’s Education Support Initiative aimed at promoting education amongst youths in his Constituency.
“We are giving out bursary to another one hundred students. To God be the glory. This is the fourth time or the fourth in the series of the Award Program. Education is the key to success hence it is an important agenda in my program. We will continue to encourage our people especially the youth to give all necessary attention to their studies as they are the future hope of our people, our state and above all our nation.” Oyo Speaker said.
Represented by the Oyo South PDP Senatorial Chairman, Hon Gbade Ojelabi, the Speaker used the opportunity to thank the people of his Constituency for their support to the PDP Government in Oyo , assuring that more impacts of Governor Seyi Makinde led administration will be feasible and felt in Ibarapa land soon.
He added that more students from Eruwa and Lanlate will be captured in the next edition of the Bursary Award Program.
The President, National Association of Lanlate Students, Comrade Abegunde Roqeeb who appreciated the gesture on behalf of the beneficiaries said Oyo Speaker has kept to his promise of encouraging learning and reaching out to students.
“We are grateful to the Rt. Hon Speaker for yet another bursary award program. He has been really been committed to the advancement of learning in Ibarapa East State Constituency. As students, we will do our part to ensure we come out in flying colors.” Roqeeb assured.
Earlier in his remarks, the Special Assistant to the Speaker on Students Affairs, Comrade Ayandele Ayuba Ayobami under whose office the program was organized lauded the Speaker for the initiative.
“This is commendable. Mr Speaker has done it again. We were in this same hall in October and here we are again in November for another one. I can assure you that we will reach out to another set of one hundred students soon. I want to appeal to those who are yet to benefit from the bursary to be patient.” Comrade Ayandele Ayuba Ayobami said.
The ceremony was graced by Councillors from the legislative arm of Ibarapa East Local Government, some Supervisors and other political functionaries
