PDP Crisis: Turaki-Led NWC Holds Closed Door Meeting With Jonathan

ABUJA – IN a bid to checkmate the crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the leadership of the party led by Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee (NWC) on Tuesday met with former President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday in Abuja.
The closed meeting with Jonathan, which started around 6pm, it was gathered was to address the crisis rocking the party.
Recall that Turaki-led NWC had earlier visit the former President Olusegun Obasanjo, when they emerged from Ibadan national Convention to pursue peace in the party.
Since Turaki-led NWC emerged from the party national convention held on November 15, 2025 in Ibadan, Oyo state, the party has been engulfed in crisis, where Nyesom Wike backed faction had challenged the emergence of the Turaki-led NWC.
