The newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the Precious Cornerstone University Ibadan, Professor Timothy Adejumo has promised to leverage upon the foundations laid by the Chancellor, the Board Of Trustees, Governing Council, the outgone VC, as well as the entire management of the University in taking the institution to a greater heights.

Professor Adejumo made this disclosure at the Board Room, Light House, PCU Campus 1, Olaogun, Ibadan, during his official unveiling by the Chancellor and the entire members of the Board of Trustees, and the Governing Council of the institution as the 2nd Vice Chancellor of PCU.

In his address, the new Vice-Chancellor Professor Timothy Adejumo promised to leverage upon the foundations laid by the Chancellor, the Board Of Trustees, Governing Council, the outgone VC, as well as the entire management of the University in taking the institution to a greater heights.

Professor Timothy Adejumo, a Professor of Agric/Environmental Microbiology and Biotechnology who works at Department of Microbiology, Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State, is also a visiting professor at Alexander von Humboldt Foundation at the University of Hohenheim, Stuttgart, Germany according to the Pro-Chancellor of the institution, Dr. Bayo Adegoke resumed duty as the PCU Vice-Chancellor on 1st of December.

Professor Timothy Adejumo in his words said, “I am highly committed to building upon the foundations laid by the Chancellor, BOT, Governing Council and my outgoing VC, my predecessor and the entire Management, to take the PCU to greater heights.Our university, anchored in faith and scholarship, holds the promise of molding individuals not only academically but also spiritually.”

“I am committed to fostering an environment that encourage the integration of knowledge and faith, nurturing minds and souls alike. Together, we will foster an environment that encourages learning, critical thinking, and holistic development.”

“As we embark on this journey together, let us draw strength from our collective beliefs and the principles that define our institution.  I am eager to engage with each of you- HODs, DMDs, Pastors, Ministers, Professors, Ph.D holders and Engineers in the Sword of the Spirit Ministries and friends of PCU, students, Faculty members and staff for your ideas and suggestions.”

“Let us work hand in hand to embrace the opportunities and the challenges that lie ahead of us. With collective effort, I am confident that we shall achieve new heights of success in education, research, and service to our community, and contribute meaningfully to the realms of education and research.”

“Your insights will guide us in shaping a vibrant and forward-thinking academic community that will uphold the mission and vision of Precious Cornerstone University, and further elevate our university’s standing on the global stage.”

“May our endeavors be guided by diligence, integrity, excellence, wisdom, compassion, and fear of God, reflecting on the values that will make our university a beacon of light and hope.”

“I look forward to walking this path of a fruitful and inspiring tenure with you, and I am confident that with strong faith in God, we will achieve remarkable milestones and impact lives positively.” Adejumo said.

In his address, The National President, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN),  Bishop Francis Wale Oke who also doubles as the Chancellor of the Precious Cornerstone University (PCU), charged the newly appointed Vice-Chancellor to be ready to welcome innovative ideas that can move the school forward to an enviable heights.

Bishop Wale Oke alongside members of the board of trustees and governing council of the Institution prayed for successfully tenure of the new VC in office.

In his words, Wale Oke said, “Prescious Cornerstone University rest upon two pillars which are academic excellence and spiritual foundation.”

“Academic excellence and spiritual soundness are the two major pillars PCU is standing upon because this is a faith-based university and that is the reason why we have zero tolerance for sexual or promiscuity, here we have zero tolerance for violence and cultism, if you want to belong to any society that is not godly you can go to somewhere else and as our new VC I want you to take all these into consideration, that here we have zero tolerance for ill-vices.”

“Don’t shut us out, your position as VC of this institution cannot be threatened by anybody because you don’t come in through back door, I’m saying this so you can be confident in your new office as our VC. Let your door be open for advise and counseling that can move the institution forward, University is a place of ideas and you must embrace openness to ideas particularly from the ministry because we are so passionate about the growth and development of the PCU.” Bishop Wale Oke said.
