Soludo Votes, Complains Of Vote Buying In Nnewi South

AWKA   –   THE Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo voted at exactly 1:15 pm in the gubernatorial election in Anambra State on Saturday.

He voted at his designated polling station, Ofuiyi, Unit 002, Isuofia where he expressed satisfaction with the electoral process thus far, which he described as largely peaceful.

On arrival at the polling unit, Governor Soludo was greeted by election officials and a large gathering of supporters.

On completion of the voting Soludo reflected on the effective organization and preparation that had been noted by various observers leading up to the election.

While the governor hailed the overall atmosphere as calm, he acknowledged reports of isolated incidents of vote buying in Nnewi South, urging that such practices should not detract from the democratic process and called on all citizens to be vigilant, emphasizing the importance of a transparent and fair election#
