“State of Emergency In Oyo Complete Falsehood, Conceived By Agents Of Mischief,  CP Ayodele Refutes Rumor

IBADAN – The Oyo State Police Command Headquarters, Eleyele Ibadan under the watch of CP Ayodele Sonubi has on Tuesday refuted a report about declaration of “State of Emergency” in the state.

The Command through a press statement issued and signed by the state Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adewale Osifeso confirmed that the rumor is misleading.

A copy of the statement made available to Naijanewshub online Newspaper in Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo state at early hour of Tuesday stated that the Oyo State Police Command wishes to emphatically refute rumors and misleading information making the rounds particularly on Social Media about the death of about (50) fifty persons under mysterious circumstances and a subsequent declaration of a State of Emergency as false and a figment of the author’s imagination.

The Command further warns members of the public against the spread of fake and unverified news capable of disrupting the enviable relative tranquility in the State.

All Law abiding residents of Oyo State are enjoined to go about their lawful businesses without any fear or molestation as the Command will not renege on its statutory duties of protecting all lives and property.
