Gunmen Kidnap Catholic Priests In Delta

Two Catholic priests have reportedly being abducted in Agbarha-Otor community, Ughelli north local government area of Delta State.
Naijanewshub.com.ng gathered that the Catholic diocese of Warri were yet to make an official statement of the incident but a source who pleaded anonymity affirmed the incident saying that the abducted priests are Rev, Fr. Raphael Ogigbah, parish priest of St. Francis Agbarha-Otor, Warri Diocese and Rev Fr. Kunav Chochos, Schoenstartt Fathers, from Ibadan, Oyo State.
It was said that the two Priests were returning from a visit from a nearby community early yesterday evening when they were intercepted by the gang of kidnappers, and whisked away to an unknown destination.
The spoke of the Delta State Command, PPRO, Mr. Edafe Bright confirmed the kidnap when contacted by Daily Independent.
It was gathered that they were whisked in the evening of Saturday April 29th 2023, and the kidnappers have not opened any channel of communication.
Sources said they were kidnapped near Ibru College gate, in Agbarha-Otor.
The abduction was confirmed by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Edafe Bright when contacted.
