Following the sad occurrence of explosion that happened around Bodija Axis of Ibadan metropolis yesterday, Tuesday, January 16, 2024, more bodies have been recoverd on Wednesday morning from the rubble of some of the buildings affected by the explosion.
One of the victims, a 25 year old boy that was identified by his neighbor as Bolaji was brought out dead with his intestines shattered, while other victims were seeing rushing to hospitals by medical personnels that were at the scene of the occurrence.
As at the time of filling this report, thousands of sympathizers have besieged the scene of the incident.
Security Operatives have cordon off the affected areas while officials of the Oyo State Emergency Management Agency(OYOSEMA), the Red Cross as well as the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) are on ground to render humanitarian services.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state had visited the scene of the incident Tuesday night to access the level of damage.
