Barrister Adeniyi Akintola SAN has declared his support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Engr. Seyi Makinde.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that  a legal luminary and a Chieftain of All Progressive Congress(APC) Chief Adeniyi Akintola SAN has on Thursday confirmed that he has nothing to do with the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Oyo state, Senator Teslim Folarin.

Barrister Akintola, an APC chieftain in the state, who aspired to be the next governor of the state, but dropped his ambition due to some perceived irregularities under the party platform before the primaries, briefing journalists in his house in Ibadan debunked resolving issues with Senator Teslim Folarin.

Akintola when reacting to question about his picture with Teslim Folarin that was filtering round the social media in the early hours of Thursday in his words said, “certainly not, have not changed my mind, have said it, I’m no longer interested in politics, I’m not with Teslim Folarin, I can never be with Teslim Folarin.”

“All I do now is not politics, it’s personality, my concern as far as 2023 general elections is concern  are two fold Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and Seyi Makinde, I do personality even within my local government, if anyone brought any candidate to me, I just told them I’m no longer interested in politics again, I’m interested in those who can add value to the interest of common man and the state and Asiwaju has demonstrated that, the woman leader that just left here now have told her to go and start mobilizing for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.”

“I was on Airpeace yesterday on my way from Abuja to Ibadan and I ran into the state APC chairman Omodewu he greeted me and we exchanged pleasantries and he started calling their candidates Teslim Folarin and that didn’t picked his call, they’ve been on my neck for long, Teslim Folarin came to my house last night and start begging me to persuade my people to support him and I told him that those are mature people who have already made their decisions.”

“I also told him that I’m no longer interested in politics again, that  what I do now is personality, I said what I’m doing currently is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for the rest of them I’m so sorry I can’t support anyone of them, he said I branded a vehicle for Asiwaju and I said yes I did, and I told him that those vehicles should not be use for any of them, that If I see any candidate boarded the vehicle except Asiwaju I will withdraw the vehicle , I also told Falake same thing that the vehicles are meant for Asiwaju Project, I’m not even doing it in expectation of anything from Asiwaju himself, because I have done so much for the party in the last 24 years, have heard enough for 24 years.”

“I’m no longer interested in politics but if I see a candidate who I can support irrespective of his political linage, this is not a fighting or settling issue, I told him point and black that I’m no longer interested in politics again, I can’t work with him.”

“He said I should help call my  supporters to come back to the fold that they’re trying reaching them that all of them are sending him back to me, that he should go and meet me and seek my consent but I told him that but you said I don’t have people and he replied that it was a political talk that the key members of the progressive are actually in my camp, those are the real AD, AC and ACN members and 75% of those people now are in PDP, some of them are in Labour Party, some of them in Ogbomoso are in Accord so I can’t push my luck too far, have taken enough Panadol for other people’s headache for the last 24 years, so after the meeting he took a picture with me and to my surprise after 5am this morning I started receiving calls, have received more than hundred calls now, people have been telling me that they saw me and Teslim on social media with inscriptions that I have finally settled with him, and I heard that he has started telling people that we have resolved our differences, anybody can take picture, what has that got to do with the situation on ground, the request he made I have turned it down.”

“He said I should help him talk to political leaders and I told him I could not do that, that all of them have taken their decisions, they took the decision under this tent, five representatives each from all the 33 local government areas we have in the state, we took that decision together and I can tell you that 70% of our supporters are with Makinde now, those that are from Ogbomoso have left for Accord.”

“I look at personality now than political party, I look at what they can offer and Makinde had demonstrated that he can still do better if he giving the chance, he has just awarded a road to my local government now, from Omi Adio to Ido and I’m going to be the one that will do the flag off that project.” Akintola said.
