Odu’a Investment Company Group Chairman Commends Lafarge Africa Plc’s Contributions Towards Solving Societal Challenges

Odu’a Investment Company Group chairman has commended Lafarge Africa Plc over commitment to solving Societal challenges.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that Odu’a investment Company Group Chairman, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru has commended Lafarge Africa Plc’s meaningful contribution towards solving societal challenges such as education, job creation, health and environmental issues through its Corporate Social Responsibility efforts.

The Group Chairman at a Business visit of the Odu’a Board of Directors to Lafarge Africa Plc appreciate the Board of Lafarge’s conscious and concerted efforts at addressing the need of the society through Corporate giving.

This he noted will go a long way in cementing the relationship and reputation of the company.

This idea, he noted is putting a human face to Lafarge business in a manner that will promote a good working relationship between Lafarge and its publics and make them more dear to the heart of the Society.

While appreciating the tenacity of the board, management and employees in creating value for its stakeholders through its product, Otunba Ashiru said that Lafarge Africa journey has been one of resilience, integrity and innovation which has always strive to meet the needs of customers while adapting to the changing economic situations and growing demand for sustainable practice in the construction industry.

Otunba Ashiru said that Odu’a being the 2nd single largest shareholder in Lafarge, will continue to support the growth and expansion of the cement industries.

While assuring Lafarge Board and Management of good patronage of its product by Odu’a Group and Associate Companies, Otunba Ashiru said ‘we shall support your marketing drive by ensuring that the Southwest Shareholder State support your company through patronage”.

In his response, Lafarge Africa Chief Executive officer, Mr Khaled El Dokani appreciated the Board of Odua on their visit to Lafarge and promised that the Company would not rest on their oars in being socially responsible to it publics and in helping to solve societal challenges.

He noted Odu’a Investment partnership and support in ensuring that Lafarge complete favourably with its likes and be in an enviable position in the cement industry.
