A part of the building of the Supreme Court of Nigeria has been gutted by fire in the early hours of Monday.

Though, no casualty was reported yet, however, the fire outbreak has been significantly brought under control.

Three offices, including that of Justice Mohammed Saulawa was touched by the fire.

The heavy smoke which spiralled the sky was seen by onlookers, as staff of the apex court who came to work early, scampered for safety.

The source of the inferno could not be ascertained but it was believed to have been caused by power sourge.

Some onlookers who wanted to gain entrance into the complex were stopped by the security.
