Elections: INEC Begins Distribution Of Sensitive Materials in Oyo

INEC has commenced distribution of sensitive materials in Ibadan, the Capital City of Oyo state.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that barely 48 hours to the Presidential and National Assembly elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), in Oyo State, has commenced the distribution of sensitive materials ahead of Saturday’s polls.

The distribution of the sensitive materials to all 33 local government areas was done in the early hours of Thursday.

The exercise was done at the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Ibadan branch, amidst heavy security.

Representatives of various political parties in the state were represented during the distribution.

Residents Electoral Commissioner in the state, Dr Rahman Adeniran Tella, said the distribution began at 2AM on Thursday.

Tella said the materials, including ballot paper, EC8 series and result sheets, would be redistributed to polling centres across the states from the local government.

He added that Registration Area Centres (RAC), would be activated on Friday.

It would be recalled that the Presidential and National Assembly elections have been slated to hold on Saturday, 25th February 2023.
