Over 4000 NSCDC Personnel Deployed For Election In Oyo – Commandant Adaralewa

Commandant Adaralewa has confirmed the deployment of over 4000 personnel for election monitoring in Oyo state.

Naijanewshub.com.ng reports that the Oyo State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, CC Adaralewa Micheal Akintayo has ordered deployment of no fewer than 4081 personnel for the forthcoming general elections.

Adaralewa made this known on Thursday, while briefing journalists at the Command’s Headquaters Agodi Ibadan.

He also reiterated the command’s readiness to provide adequate security of life and property and all electoral materials including the adhoc staff of INEC during the general elections.

While charging the selected officers for the elections exercise, Commandant Adaralewa urged them to be patriotic and professional while discharging their duties during the general elections.

He maintained that the deployment is in line with the directives of the Commandant General Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi Mni OFR, the Oyo State Command has deployed 4081 (four thousand and eighty-one) officers of the corps for the elections in Oyo State.

Commandant Adaralewa later called on all critical stakeholders in the electioneering process in the state, such as political leaders and supporters, traditional leaders, religious leaders, market leaders, and the general public to jointly support the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure that the elections are free and fair in the state.

He also enjoined the voters in the state to remain calm and come out on Election Day to cast their votes peacefully and warned all miscreants and criminal minded people to have a rethink over their behavior as men of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) and other sister agencies will arrest and prosecute anyone caught that wants to disrupt the process.
